Most people will not make a dime online and yet there are others who will make more in one month than most people make in a whole year. Why is that? Do you remember the chicken or egg question?  “What comes first the chicken or the egg”? Each argument we make comes back to the same old conclusion – I have no clue and I don’t think many of us do either.

One thing I do have a clue about and know for sure is that to make money online you must first have Passion for the company products and/or service of any Internet business from which you expect to make money.

The passion I’m referring to here  means that you’ve researched and like the company and products or services. Then you take that passion into the education, excitement and work that usually accompanies Passion.

Internet marketing work is typically not all that difficult or time consuming but it does take motivation caused by Passion to get you off and running. The Internet search engines are great resources to search about the Internet Marketing industry for business opportunities, USE THEM!

Your research should uncover a company that you like and have confidence in. It should be solid, founded on great principles, and easy to understand with great products and services that are sell-able for which you can have Passion. If you don’t find it move on,

Comments like, well, that one sounds good and the compensation plan is excellent so I guess I’ll start that business – does not sound like a decision based on anything near Passion. And remember when you hear that an Internet “guru” does that, don’t be tempted, because as I said earlier they are experienced and can sell just about anything, without being Passionate about the company products and services.

Note: By the way it’s your goal to get to the point where you can sell about anything online. That end skill and goal is a worthy one indeed.

Remember, there are other steps you must make before you step into Internet Marketing but if you don’t first find the right company products and services to be passionate about, all of those other steps may just cause you a lot of frustration instead of bringing you great success.

Not being Passionate about a company and products and services that has market proof that it will sell you must avoid.

That happens sometimes… Here’s the story to start with I am not a very known Internet Marketer and really hardly anyone knows me except for the several small lists I maintain. Here is what happened. Today I was watching The Gateway To Wealth Seminar live online and was in the chatroom chatting with others during the breaks between speakers and lunch.

I was telling everyone about not promoting Butterfly 2.0 and referred with DM to this blog those that wanted to know more about the posts I wrote concerning why I was not promoting Butterfly two. After all this who pops in to check out how things were going with the seminar. It’s Mike himself and not thinking I started apologizing for not promoting Butterfly. He comes back and says I don’t know you why do you keep apologizing to me you don’t owe me an apology I don’t even know you. Well at that moment I felt about 1″ tall. So typing as fast as I could I made an attempt to let him know that I wanted to promote Butterfly but that I couldn’t…

I didn’t have an opportunity to explain the why I couldn’t but did get across that I wasn’t slamming his product I also let him know I was on his VIP list and mentioned the name of the person that handles his VIP’S for him which did soften him up a little. Whewww talk about getting hammered he came down hard and fast. I see why he is where he is in Internet Marketing. Let me tell you he is one smart individual that thinks on his feet and fast! It isn’t Mikes fault it’s totally mine because he really didn’t have a clue about the earlier chats. What was I thinking? I know better than that! For all Mike knew I was flaming his product which I would never do. To Mikes credit he has hundreds of thousands on his email list and he couldn’t possibly know everyone. I hope that Mike Filsaime doesn’t look at me like that idiot that was apologizing to him in chat the other day. Maybe someday soon he and others will recognize me as a legitimate Internet Marketer because I am somewhat successful just not very well known….

With that said I hope you have gained something from this post. Like they say we learn from our mistakes. I know I have and I hope you have gained some insight from my huge mistake.
