I have some very sad news today. This is very hard for me to even
write this because I hurt so bad. But I have to vent and I hope all
of you will understand. My Mother had a stroke Sunday and I just
found out about it yesterday Wednesday afternoon.

My whole world came crashing down on me yesterday and my dream of
being a successful internet marketer has been shattered. The whole
reason for my making it on the internet was to give Mom anything and
everything she could ever want or need in her final years.

I have failed all I’ve managed to do is go deeper in debt and work a
full time job adding on two part time jobs. The money I know that can
be made as an online marketer has never happened for me.

Over the past several years I’ve made several thousand dollars with
affiliate sales and some of my own products. But I can’t honestly say
that there has been even 1 successful launch like many of the everyday
folks claim making $15,000 in 48 hours and bank statements showing
$48,500 in profits in one month and the like.

It’s been almost 5 years I’ve worked very hard trying to make a comfortable
living online. I don’t want to be a guru and make millions or even a
million isn’t necessary. Several hundred thousand dollars of profit
a year and to help others would be okay with me.

I’m sorry for bothering all of you with my pain. But I feel much
better after venting and if nothing else this has been good therapy
for me! THANK YOU!!

Over the next several days I’ll be taking some time to decide if I will
continue with internet marketing which has been a passion for me until
now. At this point as I feel today somehow the passion and drive is no
longer there.

Most people will not make a dime online and yet there are others who will make more in one month than most people make in a whole year. Why is that? Do you remember the chicken or egg question?  “What comes first the chicken or the egg”? Each argument we make comes back to the same old conclusion – I have no clue and I don’t think many of us do either.

One thing I do have a clue about and know for sure is that to make money online you must first have Passion for the company products and/or service of any Internet business from which you expect to make money.

The passion I’m referring to here  means that you’ve researched and like the company and products or services. Then you take that passion into the education, excitement and work that usually accompanies Passion.

Internet marketing work is typically not all that difficult or time consuming but it does take motivation caused by Passion to get you off and running. The Internet search engines are great resources to search about the Internet Marketing industry for business opportunities, USE THEM!

Your research should uncover a company that you like and have confidence in. It should be solid, founded on great principles, and easy to understand with great products and services that are sell-able for which you can have Passion. If you don’t find it move on,

Comments like, well, that one sounds good and the compensation plan is excellent so I guess I’ll start that business – does not sound like a decision based on anything near Passion. And remember when you hear that an Internet “guru” does that, don’t be tempted, because as I said earlier they are experienced and can sell just about anything, without being Passionate about the company products and services.

Note: By the way it’s your goal to get to the point where you can sell about anything online. That end skill and goal is a worthy one indeed.

Remember, there are other steps you must make before you step into Internet Marketing but if you don’t first find the right company products and services to be passionate about, all of those other steps may just cause you a lot of frustration instead of bringing you great success.

Not being Passionate about a company and products and services that has market proof that it will sell you must avoid.

Last week on Tuesday March 28 was a sad day for me. You see that’s the day I decided to shutdown viralniches.com a free and paid monthly PLR content and product website. Back in 2006 when it started and all of 2007 this site was successfully making a profit. In 2008 paid memberships started declining and the members the best I can tell were barely opening the emails that were being sent. My mistake was holding on to this website. I held on to a loser for all the wrong reasons and the main reason is simply I didn’t want to admit I failed. Finally with the burden of a site that was costing me money and a great deal of time as bad as I hated doing it I made the decision to cut my losses and move forward.

Hey if John Reese can close down his baby Blog Rush and admit he tried something and it didn’t work you can imagine what that must have been like. He just cut his losses and moved forward as much as a pain it was for him. This guy is looking at millions of hits here but with his testing he seen that his baby wasn’t providing for his subscribers what he felt it should. What a guy he is huh? I mean he could have taken this site and used it for his own profits but that wasn’t his intent. His intent was to help others benefit from the traffic that Blog Rush created.

Now if I take it in context my losses pale in comparison to John Reese’s let’s face it he invested over 50 K so not only did he take a personal loss like I did but also a hefty financial loss so I can be thankful that I didn’t face a heavy financial loss as well.

My intent for writing this post is strictly to warn all of you to cut your losses and move forward with your business. Don’t let the personal things get in your way like I did for instance, just admit you made a mistake and move forward. When you have an idea test it and if you see it can work take action and don’t ever let your past failures make you afraid to take action. Like Nike says Just Do It…. If everyone was afraid to take actions simply from a failure in the past we would still be in the stone age.

Even though my free plr site is closed I can still offer the free products and tools I’ve enjoyed giving away the past several years.
